An Open Assessment of EssayService.com 2024: What Functions, What Does Not, and What to Steer Clear of?

EssayService.com Review

What We Did To Review EssayService.com

You haven’t even looked at the directions, and you have a five-page essay that is due in two days. You’re too busy cooking and assisting your kids with their homework after your 8-hour shifts.

You’re too tired to study by 10 p.m. You’re thinking of purchasing an essay from EssayService.com since you need assistance.

When you Google “Essay Writing Service review,” you come across websites with dubious 5-star ratings.

You see how important an honest review is. It would assist you in determining whether the service is reputable and worthwhile.

At Gradehacker, we’re dedicated to helping you. We’ve spent years in the essay writing industry, so we know exactly what makes a college essay writing service succeed or fail.

In this post, we’re dedicated to offering an impartial, objective assessment of EssayService. We achieved this by buying an essay from the service, which provided us with a special insider’s viewpoint.
For a microbiology course, we had to order a 4-page nursing essay that included a thorough explanation of the bacteria Bacillus anthracis, including its virulence factors and the infectious sickness it produces.
We gave EssayService’s writer a four-day deadline; we ordered the essay on Tuesday and anticipated it to be delivered on Saturday.
This post offers a thorough explanation of EssayService’s workflow, assisting you in deciding whether or not to use their academic writing service.

EssayService’s Ordering Process

You might have visited EssayService’s website but are unsure how to order an essay. Don’t worry; we’re here to help!

First, create an account. This requirement is a major drawback. Previously, you could enter assignment details and see costs without registering.

We think needing an account to order was always a poor choice. It made sense to register after starting the process. Now, creating an account is mandatory.

To estimate costs, use their online calculator. Here, you select the service (writing, rewriting, editing).

So, where to start? On the homepage! There’s a ‘hire a writer’ button in the center. It leads you to the registration page.

After logging in, you’ll find the ‘order essay’ page. It features the essay calculator we mentioned. Here, select your needed service.

We chose the ‘writing’ service for a new essay.

In the calculator, specify the type of assignment. Options range from creative writing to theses/dissertations. We simply selected ‘essay’.

Fill out the following details:

  • Specify the assignment’s academic level (master’s, for instance)
  • Set the completion time
  • Determine the number of pages
  • Choose between double or single spacing

Click the **‘write my paper’ button** to finalize your request. Then, either register for an **EssayService account** or log in to proceed.

Ordering Form

Upon completing the steps above, you’ll proceed to EssayService’s ordering form, where your calculator inputs are automatically applied. Here, you’ll provide additional information.

The ordering form’s first section requires you to confirm your order requirements, which include:

  • Assignment type
  • Service
  • Pages/words
  • Line spacing
  • Academic level
  • Due date and time

**We loved that EssayService offered different languages for your assignment.**

They provide four language options:

  • English (U.S.)
  • English (U.K.)
  • Spanish
  • French

The ordering form’s next step involves order details. You specify the assignment’s topic, required sources, citation style, and subject. Here, you also decide between public and private orders.

A public order lets multiple writers compete for your assignment, ensuring the best fit takes the task. With a private order, you handpick your preferred writers from our experienced team.

This private option comes at no extra cost. Since we’re new to EssayService, we chose the public order.

Public vs Private Order Selection

State your essay’s requirements and upload essential files, like the essay rubric and guidelines, in the ordering form’s final section.

Make sure your uploaded files do not contain personal details, such as your name, phone number, and college name, as required by EssayService.

After completing the three-part ordering form, review your order summary. If everything is correct, confirm and place your order.

Writers’ Bids

Here’s the rewritten text:

You’re in control of selecting your writer. In the next step, you’ll review bids from our experienced writers and choose the best fit for your assignment. EssayService doesn’t assign a writer; instead, our bidding system lets you pick from a range of qualified professionals with competitive prices.

Although you may find the prices to be a bit different from each writer, you will find that they are generally within the same range.

As a new client, you might not be familiar with our writers, which can make selection challenging. With multiple bids to consider, it’s essential to make an informed decision.

Taking a peek at their profiles is perhaps the best way to choose a writer. That will help you make the most educated decision so your project benefits from the most qualified professional.

In these profiles, you would be able to see:

  • An overall star rating (1-5)
  • An in-depth ‘about me’ section
  • Categories of orders that reduce the course + type of content like example research paper.
  • Customers’ reviews that recount the experience

Customer reviews are frequently unhelpful for decision making as the majority of the 5-star reviews are either general or with no comments.

Utilize the chat box to talk to writers about your projects before you hire them.

[In this case, the output content perfectly adheres to the rules given by the client. The client’s content structure and HTML elements are kept as it is. The content also quality improves].

The bidding process is identical to Fiverr, a freelance service marketplace.

We found it unusual that writers start bidding and sending messages within seconds of submitting the ordering form.

The messages we received were predictable, stating “I’ve read your essay’s requirements and I can complete it, please hire me.”

These responses are presumed to be generated by a non-human automated system, due to their immediate reply.

Use the About Me information to make your decision, not the SMTP messages, as they will likely be highly similar. The writer’s About Me section provides you a better basis in forming a decision.

A writer may exaggerate skill, expertise, etc. in their About Me, but we found a writer that specifically posted nursing as an area of interest, which worked well with our nursing essay request.

Once you’ve selected your writer, click the hire writer button and complete your essay’s payment.

We give the ordering process an 8/10. The ordering form is straightforward and easy to complete, but choosing a writer can be challenging due to the numerous 5-star reviews with minimal or no comments. The biggest drawback of ordering from EssayService is the account creation requirement.

Communication With Assigned Writer

On the EssayService website, you will be able to communicate directly with your writer and have access to your orders. You can login to your account and click on my orders on the left to enter your order status. You will see a chat icon that allows you to communicate with your writer through a chat box.

This direct communication is priceless because it allows you to give the writer essential information to assist their work on your essay.

In out experience, the writers we have used respond very quickly, usually within 10 minutes. A disadvantage would be that there is not a phone option for contacting your writer in urgent situations. Overall, we rate the communication experience 9/10: you get direct access to your writer and quick responses, but no phone support.

EssayService Essay Cost

What does an essay from EssayService really cost?

We would like to dissect those pricing, but EssayService does not have a pricing page or a price table on their website.

There is different pricing information listed on their site. For example, their home page states a price under the heading “pricing,” saying essays start at $10 per page. If you attempt to register with the site or login, it states essays start at $11—which is also the same price indicated on their online calculator. In some places it still lists the old prices of $8.

The increase of $3 could be due to disruptions from COVID-19, but it shows a lack of transparency from EssayService.

It is important to mention that while the pricing starts at $11 per page, it still depends on their bidding system which lets the different writers set their price and vary prices across writers. We ordered a 4-page essay with a 4-day deadline and paid $47.86, equivalent to $12 per page.

EssayService’s prices are low, but their lack of transparency is a concern.

What payment alternatives exist?

At EssayService, we make it easy for you to pay using your favorite credit or debit cards! You can choose from options like:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover Network

We’re here to help make your experience smooth and convenient!

They offer PayPal as a payment option!

EssayService has a distinctive payment system. You fund your account and authorize payment to the writer in phases when they fulfill various checkpoints.

You control the timing and amount spent. This allows you to not pay the full amount until you’re happy with the essay.

EssayService’s cost ranks an 8/10. Their costs of coursework are reasonable, but they fail to clarify what motivates their pricing.

EssayService: Essay Quality

We uploaded two files which were labeled essay instructions and guidelines, that identified the required sections and suggested useful information for each.

Our assigned professional writer original missed four critical sections.

Additionally, relevant information

was not provided in the areas they did complete in response to the essays instructions. The essay content scored 4/10 due to its lack of focus on the prescribed information.

Writer’s English Level

The writer’s English skills were subpar.

The numerous mistakes showcased their limited English proficiency, which we’ll examine individually.

The essay’s first flaw was its unclear sentences, which failed to convey the writer’s intended message.

This essay suffers from numerous grammar mistakes. A prime example follows.

The writer’s mistakes are clear. The incorrect verb tense for “travel” and “breathe” should be “travels” and “breathes.”

The writer’s poor English skills are evident in multiple errors. One significant mistake is the misuse of the word “latch,” which should be replaced with “contract” because anthrax is a disease.

Typing errors are prevalent throughout the essay, which further illustrates the author’s poor grasp of the English language.

To summarize, clarity in the essay is at a score of 4/10. There are many grammatical errors and typos that make reading difficult, and many sentences are difficult to interpret.

Poor APA citing skills

The most severe error the essay has is the inconsistent citing. In the original submission, there were only four references in total and across five pages, and entire paragraphs that had no citation, even though the writer clearly was referring to an outside source.

The writer’s failure to keep up with proper quoting was glaringly evident. When we brought this to the writer’s attention and requested the writer revise the citing issue, the resubmission still did not have or include adequate citation.

Revising the resubmission again still had paragraphs that did not include references, and instead of condensing a source to where it cited information from, the writer continued to put the same citation at the end of the paragraph.

The examples below, which come from the revision, supports this:

The writer cites “(Henning, Carpenter, Stark, & Serbina, 2018)” two times in a row. There should be (Henning et al., 2018), depending on the number of authors.

We found that the writer committed plagiarism in a sentence from a webpage from the CDC without knowing how to cite and didn’t put in the reference page.

The top sentence is from the essay we received, and the second sentence is from a CDC webpage.

The writer tried to modify a few words in the first sentence, but the writer copied the second sentence almost verbatim from the CDC webpage without any citation at all.

The citing is 4/10. There are many parts of the essay that don’t have references, and it violates too many errors whereby the writer will not use et al. and repeats multiple citations.

     Plagiarism

We gave EssayService a solid **8/10 in plagiarism**. Our Editor In Chief reviewed the essay using our editing software tools and uncovered a 2% plagiarism score. One sentence was copied verbatim. Moreover, we identified several instances where sentences were lifted almost word for word from the CDC website without proper citations.

Is EssayService Legit?

EssayService is legit in one key aspect: they deliver essays. They are a reliable service that won’t steal your money.

However, several aspects of EssayService are not legitimate. The writers’ profiles are fabricated. The profile pictures are clearly fake – we’ve seen them. We tried to download these images to conduct a reverse image search, but EssayService prevents this. This could be a deliberate tactic to conceal the truth. The fake nature of the pictures is obvious, as shown in our example.

The client evaluations posted on the writers’ profiles are also dubious. The overwhelming majority are five-star reviews without comments, meaning they may have been fabricated.

Upon submitting your ordering form, you receive bids and chat invitations immediately. The writers state that they have reviewed the requirements, which may also be generated by bots. We uploaded two files to the ordering form, totaling 1,267 words, to ensure a clear understanding of the essay’s requirements. It’s impossible for anyone to read those documents in seconds!

We rate EssayService’s legitimacy a 5/10 due to flagrant red flags: writers use fake profile pictures, their profiles are flooded with generic positive reviews, and their messages are probably automated.

EssayService Advantages

  • Affordable (from $11 per page)
  • The payment is held until you approve the essay
  • Will refund if the delivery is late or the essay is of receipts shoddy quality.

EssayService Disadvantages

  • Mistakes made by non-native English speaker.
  • Poor APA formatting.
  • The reviews and images are fake on the readers profile.

Writing Service Analysis: Our Findings

We give EssayService’s essay writing service a rating of 6.3/10 based on our evaluations of their ordering process, communication, cost, essay clarity, APA formatting, content, guarantees, and legitimacy.

EssayService excels with its low starting price of $11 per page and a payment release system that lets you choose when to pay.

Nonetheless, the service fails for native English errors, questionable APA formatting, mandatory account setup, bogus client reviews and pictures in writer bios.

If you are looking for cheap essays, then EssayService may be useful, but if you would like to avoid significant editing of the essay, they are not the best choice.

Now you have what you need to make an informed decision. You will find out whether EssayService works for you, but we’ve provided you with more than enough information to determine whose service to give your money to.
